THE EUROPEAN NIGHT MARKET RETURNS BIGGER THAN EVER WITH A NOD TO DISCO

 After welcoming more than 20,000 visitors in 2018, The European Night Market returns to Madame Brussels Lane every Friday night this July with a 30% bigger footprint, more stalls than ever before, and neon-drenched entertainment.  Running every Friday 5pm – 10pm, the Euro disco inspired market will stamp your culinary passport with bites from Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, Turkey and Greece, as well as looping performances from Tanya George and retro beats by Fleiss. Dating back to 1853, the infamous Oddfellows Hotel will reopen its doors for four weeks only to peddle custom-made Hot Toddies and Mulled Wine.  Taste buds will be transported to Europe’s hotspots – a stop to Italy with Café Babbo’s Nutella-stuffed doughnuts, crisp pastries from Eat Cannoli, panzerotti from Il Panzerotto Taste of Puglia and delicious riffs on the classics from Tiramisu Lift Me Up. Sweet French favourites will be served up by Pop Up Crepe, The Brulee Cart, and Degani, while Frencheese will sling bowls of oozing, melted raclette. Great Australian Beer SpecTAPular

GABS (Great Australian Beer SpecTAPular) is returning to Melbourne in 2019. Renowned as one of the world’s leading beer festivals, GABS brings together the best breweries from Australia and New Zealand to rethink and celebrate the way we drink craft beer and cider. The event offers 170 unique craft beers and ciders that are made specifically for GABS. Queen Victoria Market’s New Winter Beer Oasis

A new winter beer oasis will pop up right in the heart of Melbourne at Queen Victoria Market every Saturday and Sunday from 4 August to 9 September 2018. Over six weekends, Central Beer District will celebrate Melburnians’ unstoppable obsession with craft beer. Lead by new independent brewery, Brick Lane Brewing Co, Central Beer District will gather a community of well-known microbreweries from across the city to bring a craft beer extravaganza to Melbourne’s favourite market. Oktoberfest in the Gardens

This October, Oktoberfest in the Gardens will take over Melbourne’s Birrarung Marr for a giant, beer garden party.  Now in it’s sixth year, the party will feature two massive beer halls with a large selection of imported German beers, cider and wine, plus authentic German food stalls. Entertainment wise, there’ll be roving performers, sideshow alley, silent disco and an eclectic mix of entertainment and competitions across multiple stages throughout the afternoon and evening. Inspired by their love of the traditional Bavarian festival and great beer, Oktoberfest in the Gardens has sold out the past two years, and is already sold out on Saturday, with limited tickets left on Sunday. Rocktoberfest  are a Melbourne-based business selling Oktoberfest outfits. Started by two guys out of Melbourne who knew how difficult (and costly) it was to buy lederhosen for festivals, Rocktoberfest now offers Oktoberfest goers, costumes that won’t cost a fortune, which means more money to spend on beer! Their Lederhosen and dirndls are great value at less than $50 each.
