The Glen Food Gallery, the newest dining destination on the East side.

Since its opening on the 28 of March 2018, The Glen’s Food Gallery has been buzzing non-stop with local foot traffic. Just a short 40 min train ride from Melbourne CBD, this refurbished shopping centre is packed with numerous delicious cuisines at its Food Gallery.

Let’s start with the presentation of The Glen Shopping Centre. It is full of greenery, open space, natural sunlight and modern design. You can see plants on every corner you turn, an amazing incorporation to bring the outside in.

The Food Gallery is a 2,200 square metres open dining space, catering for over 850 seating space. This unique space is on the ground level of the shopping centre with floor to ceiling windows where you can look out to the beautiful Dandenongs and Yarra Valley.

You can find 16 casual dining eateries including HuxtaGo by Huxtaburger, Capricho, D’elephant Thai and so much more; one of our favourites would be Omi Wagyu, the Japanese fusion restaurant.

Omi Wagyu is where you get a chance to taste premium wagyu for a reasonable price. Omi mentioned how they only use the finest local suppliers located n Victoria and Tasmania. They offer a range of flavour combinations and cater for the vegetarians too, try their newest item on the menu – Vegetarian with Tofu.

Down stairs on the lower ground level, The Glen offers a fresh food market. You have plentiful choices all in one convenient location. The lower ground offers 60 boutique food retailers and speciality stores including Colonial Fresh Market, The Butcher Club, Go Vita, The Glen Asian Grocery and more.

The Glen is definitely the latest destination for hardcore foodies, families and even the health conscious. You’ll find fresh seafood, international deli goods, local gourmets, organic and free range products. Not to mention the one and only Saccha, where you can get nutritious and pure sugarcane juice with a twist!
