Winter Harvest Festival at The Glen

Hibernation is not an option this winter when the festivities are this good – think toasted marshmallows, warming hot chocolate, whisky tasting and mulled wine. From Monday 18 June to Saturday 30 June, The Glen Shopping Centre will be hosting a winter themed festival across 12 days this month. The festival line up will include something for the entire family including market stalls, tasting plates, live music, cooking demonstrations and a Winter Whisky Harvest Masterclass courtesy of Moet Hennessy. The Winter Whisky Masterclass will take place in a purpose-built event space, emblematic of a cosy log cabin and staged against the mountainous backdrop of the Dandenong Ranges. One of Australia’s best known sommeliers, Matt Skinner, will join experts from Moët Hennessy to guide participants through the finest of whiskies including Ardbeg 10YO, Uigeadail and Corryvreckan in a masterclass coupled with complimentary canapes from Melbourne’s hottest burger team and new culinary concept, HuxtaGO. Review – Hash Specialty Coffee

Right next to Camberwell Market, you’ll find Hash Specialty Coffee where the amazing Hot Hash Chocolate is. This signature drink looks as impressive as it tastes. Let the rich dark chocolate hits you as you wake up your taste bugs. Our big tips for you would be to pour the hot chocolate slowly and ask for some warm milk on the side to add in. The produces are all freshly bought from the Camberwell Market, even the flowers on the table are fresh from the florist next door. It is a great place for a catch up over the weekend, or for a quick scrumptious work lunch. The cafe is suitable for all weather conditions, sunny or rain; Hash Specially Coffee is right under the roof in the alleyway. The cafe is famous for French Toasted Bacon Croissant because it is the perfect combination of sweet and salty. We also love their Sautéed mixed Asian Mushrooms. It is different from other cafes where they serve filed mushrooms. This dish is healthy, earthy and one of …
