Prosecco Festival 2020

Nothing beats sipping on Prosecco on a Saturday afternoon…

On the 29th of February, Prosecco-lovers will flock to The Northcote Townhall to meet the growers, winemakers and importers, and taste some of the best Prosecco available in Australia today.

This unique event brings together Italian and local Prosecco producers, as well as Van Di Vino, Australia’s first Prosecco and Spritz Bar, wines by the glass, and great tunes to really get you in the mood.

With over 40 different Proseccos to try, there’s one to suit every palate! Festival-goers can indulge in a taste of Italy from the likes of Tenuta 2 Castelli, Col Del Lupo, Silvano Follador, Borgo Molino, Carpene Malvolti, Casa Canavel, Bottega, Rigoni, Cester Camillo & Calneggia.

Melburnians will also have the chance to experience some of Australia’s finest sips, including Dal Zotto, Brown Brothers, Pizzini Wines, Box Grove Vineyard, Vinea Marson, Symphonia, Mitchelton, Cloak & Dagger, Sam Miranda Wines, See Saw Wines Tar and Roses and Trentham Estate..

For the Prosecco-connoisseurs who are craving more, VIP tickets are available for each session. This golden ticket will get you a 45 minute Masterclass with the Prosecco Queen and founder of The Prosecco Festival – Melissa Brauer – along with access to the VIP balcony with grazing table, Prosecco from Australia’s first Prosecco, Dal Zotto wines and a Select Aperitivo Venetian Spritz experience, thanks to Alepat Taylor. Grazing station will be thanks to our award-winning friends at That’s Amore Cheese

It wouldn’t be a true Italian festa without a feast! The venue will be packed with Prosecco-pairing foods including traditional Neapolitan pizza from award-winning 400 Gradi, authentic pasta, bite-sized arancini from Arancini Art, Gelato with one especially created with Prosecco from Zero Gradi , Yes Porketta & of course, cheese from That’s Amore! And to keep the theme flowing, Prosecco salami from The Meat Room, Prosecco-flavoured cannoli from Eat Cannoli and other surprises will be at the ready. Vegans and gluten free Prosecco lovers will also be catered for in the food department.

And to ensure you’ve got something to snack on while you taste the best of the best of Proseccos, Harvest Snaps will be there as the Official Snack Food Partner, to keep the need for nibbling at bay. To top it all off, thank goodness for VÖOST vitamins – the official Festival Hydration Partner, giving the masses all the vitamin fizzy goods!

Each ticket gives you access to taste over 40 different Proseccos, a beautiful Plumm tasting glass, that’s yours to keep, a Festival program and a tote bag which holds up to two bottles of vino for take-home purchases as well as snacks and hydration goodness.

Due to space constraints and licensing restrictions this is an adults only event – children under 18 cannot be accommodated at any time. So line up a babysitter because it’s #ProseccoTime!
