This November, Broadsheet are joining forces with ice cream aficionados, Connoisseur for a one-off weekend food and design market.
Make your way to this Brooklyn inspired market and indulge in food from Melbourne’s favourite Brooklyn-inspired restaurants (Bowery to Williamsburg, 5 and Dime Bagel, Nieuw Amsterdam, Shawcross Pizza) and ice-cream flavours from New York ice-cream lords OddFellows – who have recently collaborated with Connoisseur to serving variations of their world-famous ice-cream sandwiches. All icecream sandwiches will be made with biscuits from Tuck Shop Take Away and flavours include Bed Stuy: peanut butter & pretzel with sweet cream, Coney Island: golden syrup with a butter swirl and corn nuts, Flatbush: chocolate brownie with chocolate custard, and Williamsburg:matcha green tea with white chocolate waffle cone.
In true flea market fashion, there’ll also be a range of stalls where you can pick up beautiful crafted homewares and accessories from some of the best local designers such as Arro Home , Alchemy Produx, Cool Cactus Co, Kitiya Palaskas, Emily Green, plus more. The market even caters from pooches – pick up artisan dog collars from the fashionable Nice Digs.
