Night Noodle Markets

It’s that time of the year again. A favourite on all foodies calendar, the Night Noodle Markets! From November 10-27 for 18 glorious nights of Good Food Month, Melbourne’s idyllic, much loved Birrarung Marr will be transformed into an Asian hawker-style market where you can dine on all sorts of spicy, sweet and sour asian dishes along with thirst quenching drinks. Complete with more than 30 food stalls, a record 56 stalls three bars plus nightly entertainment, this year is set to be bigger and better than ever before.  There’ll be all the usual favourites like Longrain, Chin Chin, Wonderbao, Red Spice Road, as well as desserts from Gelato Messina and Black Star Pastry x N2 Extreme Gelato. Joining the list this year will be new stalls from Aunty Franklee, Ok-Nomi, plus more. When: November 10 – November 27; Mon-Tue 5-9pm, Wed-Thur 5-10pm, Fri 5-11pm, Sat 4-10pm, Sun 4-9pm. Zoo Twilights

Melbourne Zoo’s live music program, Zoo Twilights is back for it’s third year, and the line-up for 2017 is bigger and wilder than ever! Highlights this year include Hoodoo Gurus, Peter Garrett & The Alter Egos,Warpaint, The Rubens, Kurt Vile, Tegan and Sara plus more. The evening shows kick off after 7pm and ticket holders can explore the Zoo at dusk with animal exhibits open exclusively for Zoo Twilights guests from 5:30pm. All proceeds will go towards fighting the extinction of the Eastern Barred Bandicoot among other furry friends, an initiative which is part of a five-year plan. Melbourne’s Newest Sunset Cinema

Catch all the latest blockbusters, comedies and thrillers at Melbourne’s newest sunset cinemas. Running from November 4 through to November 26, Sunset Cinema, Australia’s enchanting outdoor movie experience will light up the Gasworks Art Park in Albert Park. Each week will see 4 screenings and the nights will be mixed up with everything from ‘family friendly’ and ‘girls’ night themed nights with a fully licenced bar on site for all your movie snack needs. Parking up at the cinemas, will be some of Melbourne’s best mobile food trucks; Mamma Van, Greek Street Food, Boeri Bros plus more. Save the date on the 11th of December for Markit@Fedsquare! It is a one-day event with over 100 unique independent designers and makers held at Federation Square. You can buy quirky ceramics  by Yiying Lee,  natural fibre shirts by APOM, or maybe some organic skincare by Ek-ho. So embrace yourself in the land of Australian creators on the 11th of December because you deserve beautifully designed jewellery, fashion, accessories, homewares, prints and more!                       It’s free entry from 10am to 5pm, and many of the stall holders have credit card and Eftpos facilities. However, we do recommend you get some cash withdrawals at the nearby ATM. The Carnival of Lost Souls

Join The Carnival of Lost Souls this November for the world premiere of their dark and magical 19th-century circus show, featuring some of Australia’s best physical entertainers, musicians, and singers. The Carnival of Lost Souls will take you on a mystical and atmospheric journey into the dark heart of a vintage Circus world. The magical world comes alive with Victorian Gothic and Steampunk inspired costuming and stage design, plus moody and evocative lighting where the line between life and death is truly blurred. The event is held at The Melba Spiegeltent, Collingwood, a fully licensed Bar. Open to attendees of any age, but recommended for age 15+.
