Say Cheese Festival

Say Cheese! Once again, Prahran market will be transformed into the “fromage capital” of Victoria. Held on Sunday 29th October from 10am to 4pm, the Say Cheese Festival will see local cheese makers, producers, mongers and other local producers gathering at the market to demonstrate their products. This year’s program will include Yarra Valley Dairy, Berrys Creek Farm Cheese, Apostle Cheese, Grampians Olive Oil Co, and Tolpuddle Goat Cheese and Farm Foods. There will be melted cheese, grilled cheese, cheese workshops, a tone of tasty cheese treats, cheese sculpturing, cheese on cheese on cheese, and more cheese. Say cheese again. Dogapalooza Melbourne

Interview: TORUK – The First Flight

We were given a chance to interview Peter Kismartoni, who began gymnastics at the age of 5 and had competed in many states, national and international competitions from age 10 till 24. The Glen’s Your Market Festival

To celebrate the launch of their new fresh food market hall, The Glen in Melbourne’s south-east is gearing up to host their Your Market Festival with the culinary event highlighting Melbourne’s thriving and diverse food culture. The free festival from Thursday 19 October to Sunday 22 October includes four days filled with cooking demonstrations, kids entertainment, giveaways and tasty samples to enjoy. MasterChef contestant and renowned ‘golden ball dessert creator’ Michelle Lukman, Chef Adam D’Sylva from CBD restaurants Coda and Tonka and “The Wholehearted Cook” Dani Venn will showcase their famous and favourite recipes and share their tips to recreate their delicious dishes at home. Meet the Maker of the Gin Revival

Pinkster Gin is leading the way in a raspberry revolution of the resurgence of Gin. Stephen Marsh, founder and creator of Pinkster Gin, will be touring Australia and New Zealand this October and hosting a stall at Junipalooza, Melbourne’s sell-out gin festival. When Stephen realized he could no longer drink beer or wine due to dietary reasons, he started experimenting at home in Cambridge, England, flavouring gin to accompany food. After years of working his way through an entire fruit bowl, Stephen founded Pinkster – a maceration of fresh raspberries distilled in small batches by hand, blended with juniper gin. Only Stephen and his wife know the secret botanical recipe, which is not written down anywhere and they will not fly together. Based in the U.K., Pinkster was a first of its kind, using fresh fruit to flavour the gin rather than dried fruit. In 2013 Stephen went on to step out of his comfort zone of Chartered Accountant by day, to start-up the Pinkster business. Stephen used crowdfunding to kick-start the business and surpassed …
