Look no further because Healesville Sanctuary is teaming up with Yarra Valley icons to bring you a gourmet experience with a wild difference! Healesville Sanctuary is just one hour’s drive from Melbourne’s CBD through Victoria’s beautiful wine country. Over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend (9-11 June), Wine & Wildlife will bring you the best in food and wine against the backdrop of the Sanctuary’s stunning bushland setting. Zoo Twilights

Melbourne Zoo’s live music program, Zoo Twilights is back for it’s third year, and the line-up for 2017 is bigger and wilder than ever! Highlights this year include Hoodoo Gurus, Peter Garrett & The Alter Egos,Warpaint, The Rubens, Kurt Vile, Tegan and Sara plus more. The evening shows kick off after 7pm and ticket holders can explore the Zoo at dusk with animal exhibits open exclusively for Zoo Twilights guests from 5:30pm. All proceeds will go towards fighting the extinction of the Eastern Barred Bandicoot among other furry friends, an initiative which is part of a five-year plan. Now in it’s 5th year, Wine and Wildlife will bring the finest wines from De Bortoli and Punt Road (to name a few), craft beer and cider from Napoleone, delicious chocolate from Kennedy and Wilson, gourmet cheese tastings and more to the sanctuary.  Graze your way through the four pavilions showcasing an exciting line-up of local wineries and breweries, along with a hearty winter menu by Sanctuary Harvest Head Chef Pascal. Zoo Twilight Series

Get down to the Zoo Twilight series for fifteen concerts over fifteen nights in a live music setting like no other. Each Friday and Saturday from January 29 to 12 March 2016 your favourite local and international artists will perform under the stars to fight against wildlife extinction. The shows will kick off from 7pm but if you get there  a little early  you will be able to explore the Zoo at dusk with animal exhibits open exclusively for Zoo Twilights guests. Pre-purchase a tasty food hamper or choose from a great selection of delicious meals and snacks, alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic drinks available on the night. Go on a wild African safari as Rhythm of Africa returns to Werribee Open Range Zoo this Summer. Enjoy live music, African inspired food, dancing, drumming, kids’ activities plus so much more. There’ll be free drumming workshops led by Shabba Eshun and enjoy special kids’ activities in the African Village. Rhythm of Africa is an all-weather event and entry is included in the general zoo admission price.
