The Skating At Festival will be returning to Melbourne these winter school holidays offering a unique winter wonderland ice skating experience, and this year it will be at two city locations: Southbank and St Kilda. For the first time, Skating At pop-up ice-skating rink will be located on the Crown Riverwalk along the Yarra Promenade, Southbank and also returning to St Kilda on the corner of Acland Street and Barkly Street from June 22 – July 15, 2018. Skating At Festival will also be returning to the Mornington Peninsula – along the Sorrento foreshore, for another exciting year of winter activities during the school holidays. Review: Good Food Month

Just when you were ready to hibernate through Melbourne’s winter months, Good Food Month is here to pull us out of our winter induced slumbers and fill our bellies with food from some of Australia and the world’s best chefs. Under a wet and windy Melbourne winter night sky, Good Food Month was launched at the Palm Springs inspired, pop-up Melbourne Palms marque. The evening provided an opportunity to sample just some of the delights that this heavenly foodie program has waiting for attendees this month. Competition now closed Melbourne Cabaret Festival returns on 19 June and we have a double pass to giveaway to The Songs That Saved Your Life.  This show features the darkly sensitive rendering of iconic songs from the alternative rock and grunge era of the 1990s, backed by some of Australia’s most celebrated improvisational jazz musicians. It includes seminal tunes from The Smiths, Nirvana, The Violent Femmes, and the filmic soundtracks to David Lynch films. 2018 Melbourne Cabaret Festival

The ninth annual Melbourne Cabaret Festival bursts onto the stage with some of the most fabulous and seductive cabaret from across Australia. Returning to Chapel Off Chapel with an even bigger program, up to 10 performances daily, from Tuesday 19 June to Sunday 1 July 2018. Sugar Republic is an incredible pop-up museum is dedicated to the celebration of desserts, candy and all things sweet through twelve amazing sensory rooms. Relive your childhood as you climb a candy rainbow, splash about in a giant pink bubblegum ball pit and spin the wheel o’treats. Take a swing surrounded by fairy floss, dance inside a giant gum ball machine and pose for a sweet selfie in our pink tearoom. Other attractions include a mini cinema, neon candy art, numerous sweet-themed displays and a grown-up candy store. In collaboration with local food creatives, Sugar Republic is opening on June 22nd in Melbourne’s old MacRobertson’s confectionery factory (the birthplace of Freddo and Cherry Ripe) for a limited 8-week season.
